*Click below for some November prayer items. Thanks for your prayers!

"Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with an attitude of THANKSGIVING;" Colossians 4:2 (NASB, emphasis added)

Dear Faithful Prayer Warriors,

Here is some more ammunition for your continued prayers on our behalf. We certainly appreciate you!

Praise:
- For God's grace being evident in a recent challenge that the believers faced at the New Birth Bible Church in Queretaro, Mexico
- For a great time at the Grace Bible Chapel missions conference
- For a good time with Lori's family who has been in our area recently
- For the beauty of fall in Lancaster County, PA (see some pictures here: http://www.smithconnection.com/2006/11/lancaster_county_fall_fun.html)

Prayer:
- For a Billy Graham evangelistic crusade on Mexican national TV November 9-11 - for many to come to faith in Christ
- For a missions conference we will attend and speak at from November 8-12 at Reston Bible Church, Reston VA
- For continued growth and unity in the New Birth Bible Church in Queretaro, Mexico in our absence
- For the support that we need to raise while we are on home assignment - approximately $500 per month at this time

As always, please visit our webiste for recent pictures of our family and ministry: http://smithconnection.com While you are there, post a comment to let us know you stopped by!

FAMILY

A family hike at Chickies Rock Park near the Susquehanna River

We have enjoyed some fun fall places including the Manheim Farm Show and Funks Farm Market

Tara and a little friend from church, Lauren

Visiting little newborn Emma, daughter of some friends and supporters of ours, Phil and Kathy Sweger. We will be caring for Emma four days a week starting the end of this month.

Kendra was invited to a school friend's birthday party on October 14

On October 21 Kendra and Tara went on a Sunday School class trip to Lake Tobias, an animal reserve/safari park. While they were gone we did some special things with Ben including the Choo Choo Barn in Strasburg and a visit to a great store of practical jokes called The Outhouse.

On October 26 Tara presented a program at school with her Kindergarten class. She was the "littlest pumpkin" in the play they did called "The Littlest Pumpkin". She did a great job! Grandma and Grandpa Wenger were able to attend the program, as well as Tara's Aunt Lisa, and cousin Hannah.

On October 27 we accompanied Lori's parents, Irv and Janet Wenger, to a fund raiser meal and program for a team going to Guatemala from one of our supporting churches, Christian Fellowship Church. Later that evening we went to a drop-in for Lori's sister, Lisa, and her husband, Eric, as they prepare to go to Guatemala as missionaries. We enjoyed having them stay at our home for a few days while they were here. Pictured above are our kids with their cousin, Hannah, and Lori with her sisters, Lisa and Cheryl. Lisa is holding little Matthew.

On October 28 we had family over for a traditional Lancaster County meal of ham balls, sweet corn, and baked potatoes. Along with Lori's parents were the De La Cruz family, friends from their church in Guatemala who were visiting with them and seeing this part of the USA.

Lancaster County Fall Fun

One of the things we miss when we are in Mexico is all the fun fall activities and scenery. Some of our favorite things...

...farm shows, leaves, pumpkins, mums, harvest time, raking, gourds, fall colors, school play (Tara was "the littlest pumpkin"), farm markets, hikes, apple cider, playing in the leaf piles, hay rides, crisp mornings & evenings ...
