FAMILY

We visited Camp Koinonia as a family one Monday, and saw the progress being made. A bathroom/shower complex is being built, along with a septic system. Four cabins like the ones pictured above are up and being finished as well.

Kendra presented her end-of-year dance program on June 10. Her Grandma and Grandpa Smith were able to make it for the show.

More packing and storing of our things. Bryan's parents were a HUGE help as the kids spent a few days with them while we finished packing up, cleaning, and tying up loose ends in Queretaro.

One of the kids' last pictures at this house. The house worked out very well for us the last three and a half years.

On June 11 we helped Karla celebrate her 15th birthday, a huge deal in Mexico. Here she is with her family and our family. We had the priviledge of leading this lovely family to the Lord and discipling them the last two and a half years.

We also watched the first Mexico game in the World Cup soccer tournament after church on June 11. Mexico had a great start in the tounament with a 3-1 win against Iran.

On June 18 we had a special service at church for Father's Day. Lori helped lead some interactive activities with the fathers and their children and Bryan had a lesson after each activity. The kids gave gifts to their dads, and we had a fellowship time after the service.

On June 23 we had our last meeting with the church "servant team" and their wives, except for the case of Fernando who is still looking for one. Any takers? These five men will be responsible for ten areas of resonsibility in the church. We are encouraged to see the Lord raise up these servants. Please pray that they would carry out their responsibilities faithfully in the Lord's strength.

On June 25 our church had a "good bye" service and fellowship for us, including a cake and the traditional "mordida" or bite out of the cake. As you bite it there is always someone behind you to push your face into the cake!

The church group on June 25. Please pray for the New Birth Bible Church, that they would have unity and patience with each other, and that they would continue to grow and develop in this year that we will be away on home assignment.
